UB Poker Review
(Rating
9/10)
UB Poker is one of the world's leading poker rooms and a real
innovator in the business, with many new software features
and a nice, sleek look and feel. Most of the traffic is
concentrated to Texas Hold'em, although this is hardly a big
deal to most poker players. All in all, UB Poker
receives a recommendation if you're looking for some good
action even at high stakes and a sturdy sign up bonus.

Poker Full Review
UB Poker now accepts U.S. players.
Merging with Absolute Poker in August 2008 to form the new
Cereus poker network, UB Poker is also now one of the
largest poker rooms in the world. The competition softness
is a bit tight, especially at medium to high stakes, but the
large number of high stake players make up for this flaw.
The game variation is very good and there are many ultra
high-limit games and exotic game variations. Blackjack and
Elimination Blackjack are now also offered as well as real
money Roshambo. In our previous UB Poker reviews, we
spent much time criticizing the poor lobby software.
UB Poker features massive promotions and a great
frequent player program. The complaints have been heard and
the necessary improvements have been made. Several poker pro
endorsers like Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke also can be
found at the tables at all levels.
At UB Poker there is usually action to be found at any
poker game and at any limit. UB Poker has gone from
being an average poker room, now blossoming as state of the
art software. The game variety is very good with Hold'em,
Omaha Hi and Hi Lo, Seven Card Stud Hi and Hi Lo, Pineapple,
2-7 Triple Draw and A 5 Triple Draw. We adore the mini table
function which is not unique in any way but so simple and so
much better than what is offered at other sites. Also
offered is the more unusual Royal Hold'em, where deuces
through nines have been removed from the deck but the game
plays as Hold'em. There's also a buddy function, very good
statistics and a plethora of options.
UB Poker was also the first to introduce Pineapple, a
variation of Hold'em where you get three hole cards and have
to discard one card after the flop. There are no proper
lobby filters available, which is setback since UB Poker
accommodates quite a few players. There are also certain
kill games in which a consecutive winner of two big
qualifying pots has to post a forced blind that is twice the
big blind. The poker table is where the real fun begins.
This is one of the best tables we have seen.
The UB Poker software is very good and very fast. It has
quite a few innovative functions, is very stable and is
clearly on par with the best in the business. The most
promising part of UB Poker is the tournament schedule.
The functions are well oriented and the software is updated
very frequently. You can join the World Poker Tour
qualifiers as well as the World Series of Poker qualifiers.
Either way, you're up for some tough competition. The
graphics are crisp and clean and offer a great playing
experience. UB Poker offers a very stable and appealing
poker experience. The e-mail support at UB Poker is top
notch and the response times are probably the fastest in the
industry. The software is updated very frequently to ensure
safety and stability with minimum downtime as a result. |
