Players Only is a new poker room in the Cake Poker Network, which is also a relatively new contender on the market. Players Only Poker opened in 2006 on the Cake poker network, joining a small but growing group of poker sites accepting not only U.S. players, but also U.S. credit card deposits. The poker network’s shared player base is expanding but is still relatively small compared to the largest sites. The poker room has, in an extremely short period of time, grown incredibly quickly and offers maybe the loosest and juiciest games available online. One positive aspect of a growing site is the influx of new players many of them from sports book and casino venues which make the games loose and interesting. A lot of the player base comes right through the sports book and casino, so a large portion of the players are rookies and very easy to beat.

This site’s client was conceived and developed by a number of very dedicated poker players. The games offered are all variations of Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud and Seven-Card Stud Hi Lo. As a result it possesses a practical lobby, great functionality and focuses on delivering a really good playing experience. The games are concentrated in No-Limit Hold'em, especially at the small and middle limits, but at peak hours players can be found at pretty much any limit and game. With Players Only being a new poker room on the market, you can count on some pretty lucrative promotions. The games vary between No-Limit, Pot-Limit and Fixed-Limit, with full-table games, shorthanded and heads-up tables all available. Players Only Poker and the Cake Poker network have attracted an impressive number of players in very little time a fact that bodes well for the future. The software and graphics are quite nice, but thankfully not at the expense of functionality the site was developed by a group of poker players really looking to "reinvent" online poker and keep things geared towards the player, so functionality was also kept a priority. At this writing, they’re not among the top ten largest sites yet, but not far from it.

The software lets you play at up to four tables at once. The software offers basically everything most poker players need table stats, quick play, and multi table ability for over 10 tables simultaneously and lots more great support features. Multi-tabling works smoothly and games run very quickly. There is nothing extraordinary about this poker client, but it’s very stable and does what it sets out to do.
