Bodog Poker accepts players from the United States. Bodog Poker has decent tournaments, many satellites to the WSOP and WPT, good software and promotions and a fair rake structure which follows industry standards. Traffic has increased over the past year and ow has 22,000 players at peak times. Founded in 1994 by Calvin Ayre, Bodoglife.com is a well known entertainment brand operating from Antigua and licensed for gaming by Kahnawake, Canada. Perhaps more recognized for their sportsbook and music divisions, Bodog Poker started in 2004 is well known on the online poker scene with their own player Jamie Gold winning the World Series of Poker's main event in 2006.

What is BodogLife? It's the new home for Bodog. It is the same as old Bodog but someone else has managed to get hold of the original bodog domain name and while they sort out the legal stuff to get it back they are operating at www.bodoglife.com.  This doesn't affect new or existing players and they should get the domain back hopefully soon.

A breed apart from most other online poker rooms, Bodog has broken the mould with it's sleek and professional graphics, you can customize almost everything with their independent software. I know the multi-tablers out there will love the 3 table mini view feature, although it's a shame that 3 tables is the maximum you can have open at any one time.

The players aren't as soft in general as most sportsbook rooms because the quality of the software has attracted quite a few sharks. Still, there's a lot of sportsbook and casino players, making a portion of the players beginners and relatively easy to beat.
